hCG Diet Chicken Recipes: Chicken Vegetable

Chicken shows up frequently in weight loss programs, so hCG diet chicken recipes are no surprise. What may surprise you is how much you can do with just chicken and vegetables for your diet.

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients:

2 Brussel Sprouts: cleaned, pared, and leaves separated
2 cloves Garlic, minced and divided
Liquid Smoke
1 T water
Sea Salt
100 grams Chicken
1 Celery stalk, sliced
1 Leek cut in pieces by length and width, thoroughly cleaned
1 c Chicken Broth
1 T Rice Wine Vinegar
¼ c Carrots, shredded
¼ c Kale, stalks removed and leaves shredded
A few cherry tomatoes, cut in half

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. In a bowl large enough for all the brussel sprout leaves, mix the water with ½ the garlic and a few drops Liquid Smoke. Toss the leaves with this mixture. Spread on a baking tray that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Place in the oven and bake until the leaves begin to crisp. Remove from the oven at the point where it seems any longer and they would burn. Allow to cool.

In a pan sweat the leek and celery with a bit of salt and water. Remove from the pan and cook the chicken. Add the broth and vinegar to the pan to deglaze. Bring to a simmer. Add the carrots. Simmer until the carrots are tender-crisp. Salt and pepper to taste

Place the kale and the tomatoes in the bottom of a soup bowl. Pour the soup on the additional veggies. Top with the crispy brussel sprout leaves for an amazing hCG diet chicken recipe.

Many vegetables take on an entire new character when roasted. Brussel sprouts are no different. This technique mimics the famous restaurant approach of deep-frying a few leaves for garnish. Fortunately, the oven method allows an hCG diet chicken recipe to get similar  flavor and texture without all that fat!
