  • Lose over a pound a day!

Tasty desserts do not have to mean blowing your diet. In fact, many of the hCG diet recipes are quite tasty. This updated take on a layered support dessert is both a little different and very satisfying. Take advantage of local produce to get the best flavor.

2 Graham cracker squares
3 cups mixed, local berries: raspberries, blackberries, currents, etc.
1 Persian lime: juiced with grated zest
1 T butter
1 pkg approved sweetener
Crème fraiche or vanilla ice cream for serving

Lay the clean berries in a sheet pan. Heat the oven to Broil (Low if you have the option)
Broil the berries until they are just starting to bubble or toast on top. Set aside

In a small saucepan melt the butter and whisk in the lime juice and sweetner.

Place a small dollop of Crème fraiche or ice cream on the bottom of a dessert plate.
Lay 1/3 of the berries on top.
Dip the graham cracker in the butter mixture and place on the berries.
Repeat the layer of crème fraiche, berries and cracker.
For the top layer, place the remaining berries on the cracker and top with crème fraiche. Decorate with a small amount of lime zest.

Let the dessert rest for about 2 minutes to soften the crackers slightly. Then eat and enjoy!

This dish is special even when it comes to presentation. When you have company, a small spring of mint will dress it up even more. With servings presented on individual plates, you get extra style and a more restaurant-like presentation.

By using local berries you get more antioxidants and intense flavor. Strawberries are not recommended for this dessert as cluster type berries will perform better. So whether you have access to salmonberries, Logan berries, or even yellow raspberries, this is a perfect hCG diet recipe for a fun and tasty treat.
